Privacy policy
Short version: this site collects as little as possible, and nothing is sold.
Draft. This page is a plain-language starting point and should be reviewed before launch.
Who is responsible
Electric Blue and You is run by Johanna and Mogens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the information collected through this site. For anything about privacy, write to [email protected].
The contact form
When you send the form, your message comes to us as an email through Cloudflare, which hosts this site. It isn't saved on this site or in a database. That email is kept so it can be answered, and AI tools may help sort it.
To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending it. To do that, Cloudflare processes basic information about your browser and device on the contact pages. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice (opens in a new tab). If you'd rather not use the form, you can email [email protected] directly.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, the country and city a visit comes from, the type of device and browser, and how people arrived, for example from a search engine or a link. We don't send names, email addresses or anything typed into the form to Google, and we don't use analytics for advertising. Google processes this data for us and may do so outside your country, including in the United States. Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
Google Analytics uses cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which can last up to two years.
Your choice
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec, Google Analytics only loads, and only sets cookies, if you choose Allow in the cookie banner. Nothing is sent to Google before that. Everywhere else analytics is on unless you choose No thanks. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt out browser add on (opens in a new tab).
Cookies and storage
Apart from the analytics cookies above, this site saves your cookie choice in your browser (as eby-consent) so it doesn't ask again. There are no advertising cookies.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to see how the site shows up in Google Search, for example which searches lead to our pages. It adds nothing to this site and collects nothing about you as a visitor. Google only shows us totals.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes basic request data, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect the site. Fonts are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts.
Your choices
To ask what information exists about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to [email protected]. To stop analytics, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
